i’m a hunter. just not of animals and definitely not with guns. no, my prey is strictly limited to inanimate objects of the fashion, accessories and home furnishing bent, and my weapons of choice are paper and plastic. a person can do real damage with cold hard cash or the ever handy credit/debit card.
thankfully, i have my addiction in check (not a spendthrift or a serious hoarder), and i actually don’t buy a lot of things for myself. there are definitely pieces that i love and cherish, but it’s never about amassing “trophies” since i like to keep things tight and limited (exception being books).
because the joy is never about having/possessing so much as it is the process of finding something that’s perfect (or as close to perfect) in purpose and price. and not necessarily for myself. which i guess explains this blog.
